Pain x Resistance = suffering

Craving + Aversion = Suffering

True Presence is Bliss

It really can be as simple as that. All of your suffering stems from your resistance to pain. Suffering comes from Craving and Aversion. I want this. I don’t want this. Cease your craving and aversion and you will cease to suffer. It really is that simple.

This is why extremely pleasurable and enjoyable life experiences can actually be the cause of immense suffering. Perhaps we are in a wonderful relationship with someone we love, we are doing well financially, having business success. But things happen. People leave. Business fails. And the suffering occurs when we cling to what was rather than stepping into what is.

Be fully in the moment, and there will be no suffering.

Know that EVERYTHING is temporary. You are going to lose it all at some point.

But, there is a bit of a paradox in suffering.

We don’t want to suffer but suffering is actually one of the greatest things we have to push us forward in life. It drives us to change, to better ourselves, to pursue spiritual enlightenment, to create.

Imagine if you had absolutely no suffering in your life.

That would be a pretty bland and uninspired life.

So if you are suffering currently, use that to your advantage. Don’t dwell in it, let it take you places.

Rest assured, no matter what happens, you are in good hands.

But what about when you aren’t necessarily suffering but you feel “stuck” in life. Like everyday is just playing itself over and over again on repeat and you find yourself in a depressive cycle. You go through the same thoughts, the same worldview, the same habits day after day. You feel like you can’t change no matter how hard you try.

Change the Habit Patterns of the Mind

We find ourselves in similar life patters because of the habit patterns that play out in our head. Changing the internal monologue is what is going to change your external reality. Change up your routine. Instead of checking your phone for 15 minutes…
