So my intent is in writing this is to reflect on my life, and the impact and influence of both cannabis and a number of psychedelic drugs that I have experimented with over the past 17 years, for they have no doubt played a vital role in my development as a human as well as incredible insights that I am still integrating.

It begins on a cold winter’s day. I was 16 years old. I recall walking out, up the hill in the backyard of my childhood home. Luckily, the day before I had the luck of scoring a dime bag from a friend in Environmental class. It was the perfect time, and the perfect opportunity to enjoy a solo cannabis ride out in the middle of nature and surrounded with white, powdery snow.

It was beautiful.

To this day, I don’t know what that particular strain was, but I had the most magical experience up on that hill. I recall looking out in the distance. Small dots of cars were driving by, then a snow plow. It was complete stillness and I was surrounded by it. I just sat there, staring out at the distance and a most beautiful revelation came to me. I felt a sudden shift in my conscious awareness and I felt a sudden profound sense of wonder in that very moment. It was so beautiful I shed a tear or two up on that hill.
